The latest step in the growth of Turn5, an aftermarket online specialized auto parts seller, will take place Monday when the company welcomes Gov. Tom Wolf and other officials to the opening of its new headquarters.
Turn5, which sells parts online for Jeep Wranglers, Ford Mustangs and several pickup truck models through three websites, is opening its new 90,000-square-foot headquarters at 600 Cedar Hollow Road in Paoli.
“As one of the fastest-growing e-commerce companies in the region we achieved double-digit growth for the past 12 years,” said CEO Steve Voudouris, who started the company with his brother Andrew in 2003. “We’re also focused on growing within the markets we serve. We started with AmericanMuscle.com, and we have deep roots in the Mustang community. ExtremeTerrain.com and AmericanTrucks.com followed, and Jeep and trucks enthusiasts have been amazed at what we’ve been able to bring to their passion projects. We’ll continue to invest in people, products, education and content to satisfy their hunger for more.”
Turn5 now employs 412 people in all, including 150 in the new building that was formerly a distribution center for Tay--
lor Gifts Inc., a mail order catalogue business. It said it will maintain space at 1 Lee Boulevard, where it has contact and distribution centers, as well as a distribution center in Linefield, Montgomery County. The company also opened a West Coast distribution center in Las Vegas last year.
Turn5 said it is investing $7.9million in the project and received government incentives to keep the company in the state. Turn5 received a $200,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant; $45,000 in WednetPA funding for employee training; and $366,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits, to be distributed upon the creation of the new jobs. The company has agreed to add 183 employees within three years and said it has created 102 jobs since July 2016.
In addition to Gov. Wolf, local and state officials will be at the grand opening, including those from the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry and Chester County Economic Development Council. The company recently earned a Strategic Growth Excellence of the Year Award from the Philadelphia chamber.
While only about four miles away, the new headquarters isamore spacious and modern campus that Turn5 has been refurbishing for months for its operation.
It includes state-of-theart video production space where employees show car enthusiasts do-it-themselves projects; a Turn5 Timeline Wall and Core Values mural; two coffee bars made from up-cycled shipping containers; a fullsized bowling alley, digital golf simulator, pinball machine and outdoor Baggo court and horseshoe pits.
