Barry L. Papp, 74, of Pottstown

Barry L. Papp, 74, husband of Kathryn “Kitty” (Wayock) Papp of Pottstown, PA passed away on Thursday January 4, 2018 at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Fleetwood, PA he was the son of the late Geza and Rose M. (Rosamilio) Papp.

Barry had worked as a supervisor for Dana Corporation in Pottstown, PA and then as a supervisor for Stabilus Corporation in Colmar, PA. He then worked for 15 years at STV Corporation until his retirement in 2016.

He was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. in Pottstown, PA and was a life member of Friendship Hook & Ladder co. in Boyertown, PA. Barry was a former member of the Pottstown Elks Lodge and was a former coach and umpire for the Pottstown Little League as well as a past member of Twin Ponds Golf Club.

Surviving with his wife Kitty who he was married to for 51 years is a daughter Lori Meitzler wife of Percy of Boyertown, PA and a son Timothy M. Papp of Gilbertsville, PA. He is also survived by a grandson Tyler Meitzler. Barry is survived by a brother Robert Papp and pre-deceased by a brother Thomas Papp and survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 9, 2018 at 11 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9 – 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township.
