Thomas Kenneth Emery, 74, of Chester Springs

Thomas Kenneth Emery, 74, husband of Lois (Reed) Emery, of Chester Springs, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Born on February 7, 1943 in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Lillian K. (Ewing) and Thomas Milton Emery.

A graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Ken was a livestock dealer, farmer and hauler. He was a member of the Mt. Pickering Lodge #446 F&AM.

Ken formerly served as a township Supervisor for just under 20 years for East Nantmeal Township.

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by children: Barbara, wife of James Weiss and Thomas Emery; grandchildren: Michael Weiss, Jessica Fritz, Heather Weiss and Brooke Emery; stepgranddaughter: Lauren Coover; great-grandson: Oakley Emery; and brother: Harry S. Emery, of Chester Springs.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 2440 Conestoga Road, Chester Springs, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Tina L. Mackie. Interment will be held privately in the Vincent Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 10:45 am followed by a Masonic Service at 10:45 am. Memorial contributions may be made to in Ken’s name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N.
