Pottstown: The Jr. Seekers and Confirmation Class will be meeting from 5to 8p.m. on Sunday at First Presbyterian Church to watch “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.” Dinner will be provided.

Kimberton: Education hour follows the 9:30a.m. worship service on Sunday at Centennial Lutheran Church 1330Hares Hill Road. All are welcome.

Trinity UCC

Pottstown: Members of Trinity United Church of Christ, 60N. Hanover St., will welcome Rev. Nichole Jackson to her first Sunday as pastor. The 9:30a.m. worship service will include the installation of the 2018 Consistory. Those being installed are Julia Jackson, Kate Hoffman, and Rosanna Nimmerichter as Elders; Pat Hagge, Kris Schwab and Susan Carter as Deacons; Phil Vontor, Tom Hoffman and Carolyn Dillon as Trustees; and Brooklyn Jackson as Youth Deacon. Beginning this week, office hours at the church will be Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30p.m. All are welcome.

Holy Ghost

Phoenixville: A Russian New Year’s Dinner Dance will be held from 8p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, at Holy Ghost Church Social Center, 55Starr St. Dancing to the Bill Koss Combo; hot ethnic buffet with pirohi, halupki, kobase/kraut, salad, drinks and more; BYOB, beer and setups provided, door prizes. Limerick: The youth of St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Road, will be selling tickets after Sunday’s worship for their Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 8to 10a.m. at the Royersford Applebee’s.

Shepherd of the Hills

Bechtelsville: The Prime Timers from Shepherd of the Hills Church, 527Hoffmansville Road, will meet at 1p.m. on Monday for a planning session. Youth Club will reconvene at 6:15p.m. on Wednesday for the spring term.

St. Luke Lutheran

Gilbertsville: A refresher course for all ushers and usher captains will be held in the sanctuary following the 9:30a.m. service on Sunday at St. Luke Lutheran Church. The Community Clothing Rack will be open for distribution from 1to 4p.m. on Wednesday. St. Peters: Volunteers from Mount Carmel United Methodist Church , 2203 Harmonyville Road, will meet in St. Peters today for the “Good Works Program,” an organization that helps those in need of home repairs. Zions UCC

Pottstown: Rev. Austin Chinault will install the new Consistory members at the 10:15a.m. worship service on Sunday at Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut streets. These new members include Diane Andres, Jim Eschbach, Ray Heydt, Audry Stengel and Mary Cresswell. Reminder to parents: Children’s Sunday School will begin at 8:45a.m. this week with breakfast and a film! The church will be hosting the Homeless Shelter this month. Pottstown: The Pottstown Community Martin Luther King (MLK) Choir Rehearsal will take place in the Main Sanctuary at noon today at Bethel Community Church of Pottstown, 575North Keim St. The rehearsal is open to the entire community

Pottstown: An All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8to 11 a.m. on Sunday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 972 N. Franklin St. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, tea, juice and baked goodies. Prices are $6for adults, $3.50for ages 6to 12, and kids age 5 and under are free.

Spring City: A brief Congregational Meeting will be held following the 10a.m. worship service on Sunday at Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640Ridge Road. At the conclusion of the meeting, all are invited for Social Hour in Fellowship Hall.
