Ruth A. Breslin, 97, of Douglassville

Ruth A. (Robbins) Breslin, 97, of Douglassville, wife of the late Richard J. Breslin, passed away on Saturday, January 13, at Amity Place Assisted Living.

Born in Watertown, CT., she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Amy Robbins.

Ruth was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Boyertown. She was a Den Mother for many years for Cub Scouts pack 523 in Pine Forge, and was a correspondent for the Boyertown Times. She served as a volunteer for the Boyertown Senior Center for over 17 years.

Surviving are children Susan B. Novosel of TX., Michael D. Breslin, husband of Kathleen, of Saylorsburg, and Patricia R. Strunk, wife of Robert, of Boyertown; grandchildren Steven Novosel, Amy McMahan, wife of John, Emily C. Strunk, Shannon Sinclair, wife of Shelby, and Ryan Breslin, husband of Cari; and great grandchildren Christian Olachia and Aria Sinclair. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by son in law John Novosel; sons Danny and Ricky Breslin; and grandson David Novosel.

A funeral service will be Thursday, 11:00AM at ST. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30AM to 10:45AM at the church.
