A few weeks ago there was a wonderful story in The Mercury about the Historic State Movie Theater in Boyertown. It appears they are going to start showing fulllength motion pictures again. Boy what a wonderful story. All we can see in our movie theater in Pottstown is a vacant lot where it used to stand. What a shame.

I think we should chain Pelosi and Schumer to the Mexican side of the border wall and let them see how loving the illegals are just like some of our U.S. citizens have found out. United States people regardless of party have to suffer the consequences of the Democratic Party and their decisions.

It’s incredible that the Democrats being led by Chuck Schumer are holding up this budget over DACA. DACA is a totally separate issue and has nothing to do with the budget. These people have no shame. They have no shame at all. OK Chuck.

We elect people, send them to Washington and Harrisburg and they can’t even develop the budget on time. Before I retired I worked for a large company. I had to develop the budget for our department. If I didn’t I would have been fired. When I did I better have been on or under budget at year’s end. If not, no bonus, no raise, maybe no job. Maybe politicians don’t see it as a job but as a game with the people as their tokens. For The People

Boy what a difference a president makes. During the last shutdown of government in 2013 the thenpresident, such a nice guy as Obama supporters say he is, closed the White House, closed war memorials, closed national parks. Now under this new president none of that is occurring. I would say that Obama people better wake up because Obama used our national treasures as a weapon against the American public.

I realize there are reasons that you call and complain but saying and doing things to someone to upset them on purpose to have a constant reason to call and complain to the borough to me is completely wrong.

I read many articles that say President Trump should act like a president. What does acting like a president really involve? The prior president we had did act, and I say act, like a president. He acted all the time and he got away with it for one reason only and we know.

For the person who put in Sound Off that if you drank a beer every time you heard the word “collusion” you would die from alcohol poisoning, actually if you drank a beer every time the government or the president said “This is what the Americans want, need and deserve,” or “Make America great again,” you’d be an alcoholic.

I’m wondering if the senior citizens realize that the Medicare cost from last year went from $93 up to $139. That’s a difference of $46 more that they’re charging the senior citizen on Medicare.
