Take a look at what friends and neighbors are saying about local hot topics and join in on the conversation.

I’m afraid to drink tea or even eat the food. What’s wrong with this Boyertown water? I heat some water up for tea in my glass pans and the bottom of the pan is all like a pink and green color. You have to take a Brillo pad to get it out and other days it’s all coated in a white color. What’s wrong with their water?

This is for Lower Pottsgrove. I believe all these new developments that are going up the developers should pay for the cost of each house with a surcharge to offset the cost of school improvements, roads, police departments, extra police, extra fire company equipment. It should not be put on the current taxpayers to pay all this extra money when he’s making all the profit and walking away.

I just got a phone call from the IRS telling me that they were about to file a lawsuit against me. Then they give you a number and you’re to call them back. Seniors, please remember this is a scam. The IRS never ever calls you.

How can you take Hawaiian Punch Party’s post seriously when it’s obvious he doesn’t know the difference between a congressman, a representative and a senator? There’s no way that there’s 31 senators retiring for the Republican Party. There’s only eight of them up for re-election.

Jay Miller, you said the dreamers paid $11.6 billion in taxes last year. How much money was paid to them in all these years that we brought them up? Don’t you think it’s about time they pay back what they owe?

I’d just like to know how Mascaro always wins the bid here in Pottstown. It’s time for them to go away. Their pickup is terrible. I mean, when you have to call to get a Christmas tree picked up at the end of January, don’t they drive past these things every Wednesday? Unbelievable.

This is to the person who says his term as president is a total disaster about the Democrats destroying Trump. No, Democrats didn’t destroy Trump. He destroyed himself. When you do the crime, you pay the time. Live with it.

Gov. Cuomo wants to give free college tuition to dreamers. Well that’s backwards. As an American citizen who has paid taxes all my life and who was in the military why should I not get free college tuition? No, I don’t think we’ll give anything to anybody. Let people earn a living. Let people earn their way to school.

Clay Breece is absolutely correct. A better assessment of a portion of society would be dazed and confused.

How can any of the great liberals out there harassing our president for this long ever preach to the youth of today about the problem of bullying when you yourselves bully a man who was rightfully elected out of your own personal hate for him? You are beyond pitiful and a poor example for how real adults carry themselves. I guess therapy wouldn’t help because you all probably think you know more than them even.

I read in Thursday’s Mercury Tom Hylton’s commentary that The Hill School will donate $200,000 over two years to the borough to buy police cars. That’s a nice gesture but since they don’t pay any taxes I think they could give the borough at least $200,000 every year towards repairing streets, etc.

Sam’s Club received huge tax cuts and they closed 63 stores. A westbased coal mine received tax cuts also and laid off 370 workers. Now Toys R Us. You people have been had.

Someone needs to tell the Democrats that mind over matter does not work. If they realize that maybe they will come out of their pretend world and get into reality.

Hey Jay Miller, did you know it cost California $25 billion a year to house your illegal immigrants?

Wait a minute, Donald Trump is being investigated for possible collusion and obstruction of justice. He has already fired one of the people who investigated him. Now he has been reported to have ordered the firing of the man who took the place of the first one he fired. That alone could be called obstruction and collusion without even talking about the Russians. Genius.

I see in the Sound Off that Jay Miller said that the dreamers pay $11.6 billion in taxes. Where did he get that information? They come here and they get paid by the government. I think he’s the dreamer.
