Florence Fontana, 97

Florence Fontana, 97, widow of John E. Fontana, Sr. of Stowe, PA passed away on Sunday January 28, 2018 at Keystone Villa, Douglassville, PA .

Born in Patterson, NJ she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Addolaratto (Costello) Palmieri.

Florence had worked for ten years at the former Philco Ford plant in Lansdale, PA .

She was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. in Stowe, PA . She was a former member of the church’s Woman’s Guild. She was a volunteer for Aging & Adult Services in Pottstown and was a former member of Victor Emmanuel Lodge in Reading, PA.

Surviving is a son John E. Fontana, Jr. husband of Viola of Stowe, PA. She is also survived by three grandsons Anthony Fontana, Christopher Fontana and Billy Joe Fontana, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was pre-deceased by a son William Fontana.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C., 127 East Howard St., Stowe, PA on Thursday February 1, 2018 at 11 A.M. A viewing will be held from 10-11 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township.
