Betty E. Latshaw, 92
Betty E. (Keeley) Latshaw, 92, widow of the late C. Albert Latshaw, died Friday, January 26, 2018 in Sanatoga Center.
She was born in Phoenixville to the late Paul Robert and the late Emma Lydia Keeley, Sr. Betty was a 1943 graduate of Spring City High School. After graduation, Betty worked as a teller at Spring City National Bank. There, she met her husband-to- be, Albert Latshaw. After marrying they resided in Spring City. In later years, she also worked at Elverson National Bank. It would not be uncommon to see her smiling face at the drive-thru on a Friday night when you were cashing your check. Betty’s hobbies included refinishing furniture and bowling. She was an avid bowler and was in a bowling league until age 90. At 85 she bowled a 200. After retiring from her leagues, she would often go to the bowling lanes just to watch others play.
Betty was a loving mother and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her three children: Paul Latshaw (husband of Sunghae) Wynnewood, PA, Betty
Lightcap of Spring City, PA and David Latshaw of Paloma, CA; five grandchildren: Christopher Latshaw (husband of Anna), David Gaugler (husband of Holly), Scott Zielinski, Andrew Zielinski, Sara Latshaw; two great-grandchildren: Avery and Adalynn Gaugler; and a brother: Paul Robert Keeley, Jr. of Spring City.
She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Shive.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Bridge Street, Spring City. With the Rev. Erick Kern officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 PM Wednesday, January 31 and 10:00 – 11:00 AM Thursday, February 1 prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following in the
