Alicia J. Hunsberger, 90, of Royersford

Alicia J. “Lee” Hunsberger, 90, wife of David R. Hunsberger, of Royersford, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, in the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill. Born on March 31, 1927 in Royersford, she was the daughter of the late Ida L. (Beard) and Otto R. Bertz.

Lee was a Class of 1945 graduate of the former Royersford High School. She had been employed in military personnel at the former Valley Forge Army Hospital prior to starting a family. She was a member of the First U.C.C. of Royersford, where she sang in the choir.

Lee was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Royersford, volunteered for the Red Cross, drove patients for the American Cancer Society and was a member of the Senior Circle at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

In addition to her loving husband of 66 years, Lee is survived by her son: Marc D., husband of Karen Hunsberger, of Endwell, NY; daughter: Fay B., wife of Tim Pletcher, of Limerick; two grandsons: Steven, husband of Cassie Hunsberger, of Cicero, NY and Dan Hunsberger, of Manassas, VA; and brother: Kenneth R., husband of Lillian Bertz of Fort Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law: Richard O. and Helen Bertz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Debra J. Timmins. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 10 - 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
