Small businesses, stores, etc., you really think that going paperless saves money not having paper job applications? Actually you’re discriminating against the ones that don’t have the internet. So why don’t you put a couple extra dollars back into having paper job applications. It doesn’t hurt anything, doesn’t waste money. Actually it might improve your business with great workers. How come business people don’t realize that? Not that smart I guess.

The people on the left who are sincere are so few it’s unbelievable, they lie all the time. It would be nice if George Soros and his millions that were basically derived from stolen funds from two different countries, and they’re still after him, ever went back to face trial for stealing over there. It would be beautiful to get rid of that kind of garbage from our country.

When someone is caught doing something that they know is wrong and when confronted, they cannot and will not admit the truth to protect their image of being a perfect role model.

I wish every parent of young children would read the article Esther Cepeda wrote in Friday’s Mercury. It’s about technology interrupting and taking the place of human interactions which include communication, affection and learning. Her last line emphasizes the importance of the skill of paying close sustained attention to a developing child.

Mark Furlong, you should have started your fairy tale with “Once upon a time.” All the atrocities you listed, I must have been like Rip Van Winkle and slept through them.

Mexico paying for the wall? It looks like Donald lied again.

I can’t believe that comment on Monday about Bright Hope. They’re living there for practically nothing and they can’t afford to go buy their own shovel and shovel their own snow. They count on a maintenance man to do that work for them yet when they have nothing else to do.

Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton had problems with her secure server. Donald Trump has 31 people working in the White House who don’t have security clearances including some close by him like Kushner. It’s scary and deplorable.

For the person that’s on Social Security and wants to know how much tax they’re going to save, the answer is nothing. Unless you make $75,000 or more a year there will be no tax cut. It’s only for the rich.

Isn’t it ironic that Trump with all his bankruptcies and many sexual allegations and phony universities, non-payment of contractors and other questionable business practices, would not qualify to be given a White House security clearance even to be a janitor or groundskeeper at the White House and yet he is our president? Go figure.

Is the Schuylkill Valley Model Railroad Club still in existence anymore? They don’t advertise their open house anymore. Does anyone know?

Congratulations to the Eagles but it would’ve been wonderful if everybody in Philadelphia would be thanking God for this great championship and not adoring the silver idol. Thank you God for all the praises and wonderful happenings and everybody praying together. God bless.

Wheezzy

A contributor stated as follows. “Donald Trump is not a bully. Bullies attack people and make vicious lies on a person for no reason.” I believe there’s a typo here somewhere. The word “not” appearing after “Donald Trump is...” should be eliminated and the truth will be revealed.

Seniors, Medicare, Medicaid recipients, I heard Mr. Trump’s new tax infrastructure plan. We are going to take a hit the seniors, those on Medicare and Medicaid. He broke his promises. Remember “I will not touch Medicare, will not touch Medicaid.” Anybody who voted for him of the older set who needed these items were fooled. He played us all for a fool. Those who voted for him believed in what he said. He lied, lied and lied. Think about that hard.

Your president has talked about infrastructure in the past and now the bipartisan infrastructure bill is at risk because he has given the large corporations a $1.4 trillion tax break. Now Paul Ryan will be looking at Social Security, Medicaid and other forms of funds to keep the president’s promise. No credibility from this president and the worst is yet to come. KM

Can someone explain why codes can’t enforce the existing codes that are already on the book? It would involve a little work but it would make the town a little nicer and also bring in some money in the form of fines.

Frustrated

I’ve reached that age where my brain goes from “You probably shouldn’t say that” to “What the heck let’s see what happens.”
