William C. Kirschner, 74, of Phoenixville
William C. Kirschner, 74, husband of Barbara (Kaeser) Kirschner, of Phoenixville, PA and Ocean City, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at home. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in May.
Born on November 20, 1943 in Hazleton, PA, he was a son of the late John and Emma (Haas) Kirschner. He was a graduate of Miners and Mechanical Institute, Freeland, PA. He also earned bachelor’s degrees in math, physics and civil engineering from Gettysburg College and Penn State University. While at Penn State he was a member of Sigma Nu. He was a registered professional civil engineer and worked for companies including: Penn DOT, SEPTA, and Bechtel Corporation. He was last a Senior Project Manage for Day and Zimmerman and Hill International before retiring in 2005.
He was a member of the Freemasons and Harleysville Jaycees Earlier, he was a Scout Leader and very active in local swimming organizations including the Boyertown Swim Team and TriCounty Swim League. He and Barbara enjoyed buying, renovating and selling houses in Ocean City, NJ. He enjoyed watching Penn State Football and Wrestling.
He is survived by Two Sons: William C. (Jennifer) Kirschner Jr. of Severn, MD, Bradley S. (Michelle) Kirschner of Audubon, PA; Daughter, Kiri M. Kirschner of Charlotte, NC; Grandchildren, Emily, Will, Ethan, and Ally; Brother, John (RuthAnn) Kirschner of Fleetwood, PA; One Niece and Two Nephews and his Mother-in-law, Theresa Kaeser of Audubon, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 2725 Egypt Road, Audubon, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. William R. Mueller. Burial will be Private. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at church.
