Whole Foods hosting job fair
COLLEGEVILLE » Gearing up for its sixth and largest store, set to open in Collegeville next month, Kimberton Whole Foods will host a job fair on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 9 a.m. to 1p.m., and Thursday, Feb 22, noon to 4 p.m. at 222 E Main St., Collegeville.
Kellie Dietrich, HR Specialist for the regional chain that specializes in natural, locally sourced foods, indicated that the 47 ideal candidates that the store is planning to hire are “positive, self-motivated and hard-working” people who are “passionate about healthy living. Kimberton Whole Foods offers robust benefit options, including a store discount for both full-time and parttime staff.”
The chain currently employs over 200 people between its five locations, Distribution Center, Commissary Kitchen and administrative offices.
According to owner and founder Terry Brett, the Collegeville store, now under construction at the site of the former Acme market in the Collegeville Shopping Center, will feature “a full commercial kitchen with hot and cold bars, freshly made sushi, a larger selection of fresh-baked goods, specialty coffee, juice and sandwich station, expanded produce and floral departments and a deli with sliced meats and cheese.”
Applicants are asked to bring their resumes to the job fair, where they will meet with the
HR team and store management.
“This is first come, first served,” Dietrich allowed.
Available part-time positions include a variety of openings in the Front End and Café departments, including Cafe Utility and Cafe Production/Cook. Full-time positions include Apothecary Department Head, as well as Produce team and Café team members.
“All are welcome,” Dietrich said. “If you already applied and haven’t received a call back, please consider attending. If you have not yet applied, you may still attend, but please note that you will be asked to complete an application before a job offer is made. Apply by visiting our website.”
