Boscov’s to host Health and Wellness Fair

Retailer partners with local businesses for this event today at the Coventry Mall

NORTH COVENTRY » In recognition of February as Heart Month, Boscov’s Department store at the Coventry Mall is joining forces with Pottstown Hospital and other local vendors to host a Health and Wellness Fair.

The free event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, inside the Boscov’s store at the mall.

Pottstown Hospital will offer blood pressure screenings, heart failure and early heart attack warning signs. The hospital will also share information on stroke risk factors, cancer prevention and services.

Flu shots will be available on site from The Medicine Shoppe. They are free through most insurance, or can be administered for a discounted price. The Medicine Shoppe will also offer body composition screenings and will share handouts about their services.

Aetna Better Health, the Wellness Council of Boyertown and Pottstown FARM will also be in attendance.

“Maintaining a healthy heart is the key to overall health and well-being, and Boscov’s is thrilled to welcome these local businesses into the store to provide this important information to both our customers and coworkers,” said Jessica Blasco, Boscov’s regional public relations manager.

Boscov’s will also offer healthy food demos, skincare consultations and free eyeglass cleanings.
