Doris L. (Ziegler) Downing, 92, of Pottstown

Doris L. (Ziegler) Downing, 92, of Kepler Road, Pottstown, widow of Quentin L. Downing, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Sanatoga Center.

Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Ziegler and the late Mary (Bartman) Ziegler.

Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottstown.

She is survived by a son, Dennis Downing, Pottstown; a daughter, Linda wife of David Dorang, Liverpool, NY; a brother, Richard Ziegler, Sanatoga; two grandchildren, Chelsea Downing, Fairfax, VA, Stacey Peeler, Bellefonte, PA; and a niece, Helen Simmers, Pottstown. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Ziegler.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Rev. Patricia Goshert. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church, 414 High Street, Pottstown.
