Just received my borough and county tax notice for 2018. Just curious, can anyone please explain to me why I am paying a tax for Montgomery County Community College of $16? I already pay for public schooling. Why am I paying for college also?

To clarify a few things, I don’t make over $100,000 a year like you say and I can prove it with my W-2 forms, it’s not even close. Also yes it’s true the middle class tax cuts do expire but you left out that there will be a vote to extend them. I have a suggestion for the schools. Instead of gun control, if they stop the children carrying a backpack and carry their books in their arms like they used to do they won’t be able to get junk into the classroom. The elementary kids take junk in their backpacks. The high school kids take their soccer equipment, etc. That should be in the sports department. I think doing away with backpacks will alleviate a lot of things getting into the schools that shouldn’t be there. I rest my case.

Can somebody tell me what happened to the crossing guard at Wilson and North Franklin streets in Pottstown? There hasn’t been one there for two weeks now.

To the borough manager and council that voted down the street lights because they were too expensive, well Phoenixville bought them with other municipalities for a lower cost. I believe Dan Weand said it was too costly. Time to look outside the box and see the big picture. You Can’t Fix Stupid

I’d like to familiarize everyone with a gentleman by the name of Dontray Mills who purchased 27 guns using false ID and then sold them to felons. He’s a free man today because after being charged with 55 counts of federal gun trafficking crimes the Obama Department of Justice negotiated a plea bargain in exchange for a guilty plea on only one charge and he would get probation.
