Iron Hill Brewery eyes expansion of locations
Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant continues to expand, with several new locations planned, including Hershey.
WILMINGTON, DEL. » Iron Hill Brewery continues to expand, with several new locations planned. The company most recently announced plans to locate an Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Hershey in late 2018 or early 2019.
Founders Kevin Finn, Mark Edelson and Kevin Davies have signed a lease for their tenth Pennsylvania Iron Hill location in the newly constructed Hershey Towne Square at West Chocolate Avenue.
The new location is in downtown Hershey, and is a fourminute drive from Hersheypark and nearby ZooAmerica. The 9,000-square foot space will house an on-site brewing facility and seating for up to 290, including a bar area and additional outdoor space.
“Iron Hill is thrilled to open our tenth Pennsylvania store in Hershey in 2019,” Kevin Finn, co-founder of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant said in a press release. “It’s an exciting place to expand, and share our passion for our scratch kitchen and craft brewery. With over 10 million visitors to Hershey per year, we look forward to expanding dining and drinking opportunities in one of the region’s most visited areas.”
Iron Hill will be joining Starbucks and Primanti Bros. at Hershey Towne Square. The project includes a retail center and a 60,000-square foot, multi-story office building.
“We are thrilled Iron Hill will join us as an anchor tenant in our
new development project. Looking at both the local resident base and annual tourist flow in Hershey, the broad appeal of Iron Hill’s menu and commitment to high quality ingredients and service make them the perfect complement to the project,” Ed Fetter, senior vice president of RVG Management & Development
Co. said in the release.
Founded by home brewers Kevin Finn, Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, Del. in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has grown from one restaurant and brewery to 12 locations up and down the East Coast, including Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
Three new locations are expected to open in 2018 in Philadelphia, Rehobeth Beach, Del. and Greenville, South Carolina.
Current locations include: Media; West Chester; North Wales; Phoenixville; Lancaster; Chestnut Hill; Ardmore; Huntingdon Valley; Newark, Del.; Wilmington, Del.; Maple Shade, N.J.; and Voorhees, N.J.
