David R. Hunsberger, 90, of Royersford

David R. Hunsberger, age 90, husband of the late Alicia J. (Bertz) Hunsberger, of Royersford, PA, died Thursday evening, March 8, 2018 in the Chestnut Hill Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA. Born on November 14, 1927 in Royersford, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond “Pud” and Rae (Hauck) Hunsberger. He was a 1945 graduate of the Royersford High School and a 1950 graduate of the Ursinus College. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Hunsberger worked as a Banker for the Philadelphia National Bank and the National Bank of Boyertown. Very active in the Royersford area, Mr. Hunsberger was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Royersford, a 69 year member of the SpringFord Lodge #553, Free and Accepted Masons, the Spring-Ford Rotary and served on the SpringFord Historical Society Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Royersford Boro Council and the Zoning Board.

Mr. Hunsberger is survived by Son, Marc D., husband of Karen Hunsberger of Endwell, NY; Daughter, Fay B., wife of Tim Pletcher of Limerick, PA; Two Grandsons, Steven, husband of Cassie Hunsberger of Cicero, NY, Dan Hunsberger of Manassas, VA; Sister, Janet, wife of James Murphy of Newtown Square, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Masonic Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Cattermole Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA at 11:00 am, immediately followed by religious services by Rev. Debra J. Timmins. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
