Joan (Marsh) Dakota, 84, wife of the late Frank T. Dakota, Sr., of Phoenixvil­le, PA, died on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Born on April 2, 1933 in Erdenheim, PA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Florence (Himeback) Marsh.

She graduated from Tredyffrin-Easttown High School in 1951. Joan was one of the original volunteers at the Phoenixvil­le Hospital Thrift Shop and was a member of the Phoenixvil­le AARP, the Phoenixvil­le Senior Center and volunteer for Meals of Wheels. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and was a driver for the HOPE Ministry.

Surviving are: Daughter, Debbie wife of Joe Dudzinski; Daughter, Joanne wife of Joe Labik; Daughter, Patty wife of David Quinn; Son, Thomas Dakota and wife Shannon Durante; Son, Steven Dakota;12 Grandchild­ren and 8 Great-grandchild­ren. She was preceded by son, Frank T. Dakota, Jr. Sisters, Mary Onstott, Mildred Onstott, Letitia Southwell, Barbara Arney, and Florence Hartzell. Brothers, Robert Marsh and Floyd Marsh, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixvil­le, PA on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John J. Newns officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Philadelph­ia Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Chapel on Saturday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m.
