Police charge man with drug, gun offenses
Police have arrested a man after he was found in possession of an illegally concealed firearm and marijuana.

Lower Pottsgrove Police observed a black Chevrolet being driven westbound on East High Street near Heritage Drive without any lights on at approximately 9:52 p.m. on Wednesday March 14.
Officer Ryan Smith stopped the vehicle in the 2000 block of East High Street and identified the driver as Oscar Dunn, 27, of Norristown.
Smith immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to police reports. Upon removing Dunn from the vehicle, he was found to be in possession of a loaded Taurus .45 caliber handgun concealed on his body, police said.
Police said Dunn does not have a valid license to carry a concealed weapon. He was also found to be a person not to possess a firearm.
In addition to the firearm, Dunn was found to be in possession of marijuana that was packaged for sale, according to police. He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by person prohibited to possess a firearm, possessing a firearm without a license, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and related offenses.
He was transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Police say an adult female passenger in Dunn’s vehicle could also face charges pending further investigation. Police allege she was in possession of a controlled substance and was endangering the welfare of three children that were in the car at the time of the arrest.
