Fraud most reported crime in past week

Fraud was reported four times since March 13to borough police, according to an online crime-mapping site.

According to crimemappi­ng.com, a police-run website used to inform the public about crime in their area, fraud was reported four times since March 13. Those incidents were reported on the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, the 1100 block of Queen Street, the 100 block of East High Street and the 1500 block East High Street.

The second most reported crime over the past week was substance violations. Those incidents included two cases of drug possession on the 300 block of Cherry Street and the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue and one case of public drunkennes­s on the 1400 block of East High Street.

Theft and assault were each reported twice over the past week. A retail theft occurred on the 200 block of Shoemaker Road while a theft from buildings was reported on the 900 block of East High

Street. An assault involving hands, feet and fists was reported on the 100 block of East High Street along with a non-aggravated assault on the 100 block of Sunrise Drive.

Vehicle theft, robbery, disturbing the peace, weapons offenses and vandalism were each reported once since March 13. A vehicle theft was reported on Chestnut Street while a robbery with a firearm was reported on the 400 block of King Street. An incident involving disorderly conduct occurred on Manatawny Street while a weapons offense was reported on the 200 block of Shoemaker Road. Criminal mischief to vehicles was reported on the 100 block of North Hanover Street.
