To our government and president, for all of the schools in the U.S. if these students walk out to do rallies or protest, suspend them for a week. Stop letting these students think they are in charge of the schools. You are allowing students to walk all over schools without caring. Where are the schools doing their jobs to keep the kids in school? That’s what the taxpayers are paying for, not for students to walk out whenever they want to and do their protesting rallies.

Christmas lights are still up and lit on High Street as of March 19. Really good use of funds Pottstown.

It seems no one really follows the money. Once money is allotted to nonprofits like the Y and daycares that babysit disadvantaged students, the buck seems to stop there because children are not reaping benefits. The employees who teach the kids are often paid poor wages and not given the money the state provides the daycare workers for those who have achieved their CDA certificates.

I see Tiger Woods came up short again in the Arnold Palmer Invitational just like I did in the Powerball. The announcer says it’s been five years since Tiger last won. I think it will be another five years until his next win. By that time he’ll be eligible to play on the senior tour where he might have a chance of winning. When Tiger was within a stroke on Sunday I wanted to bet a big Tiger fan $20 that Tiger wouldn’t win but he didn’t want to bet. I guess he knew Tiger would choke.

It was announced five months ago that the YMCA in Pottstown would close. It’s a little late to begin fretting at this point. RW from LF

This is a comment about the crossing guards. I don’t see why they shouldn’t be able to stay in their car. We had some awfully cold and windy days. As long as they get out and cross the kids like they’re supposed to they should be able to sit in their car.

How pitiful that McCabe is blaming Trump for his situation. To not accept responsibility for your own actions that you have charged others for and not expect the same treatment seems to be the norm for what’s been going on in Washington. If not for the last election how long would the abuses and cover-ups gone on? Lady Di

To Hanover Street Posse as far as your take on gun control you sound like someone who never had a family member shot and killed in a school.

Referring to the caller distressed by columnist EJ. Dionne, I too noted his constant one-sided attacks on President Trump. In fact other than a tribute made to his motherin-law following her demise last year, and may she rest in peace, every column since has been a diabolical attack on our president. Consider the source. Do as I do, ignore his column. Martha

Why is it that President Trump and some Republicans think Democrats are more dangerous to our country than the Russian government? Just Wondering

If the politicians in Washington are unwilling to bring down the worst president this country has ever seen maybe Stormy Daniels can do it. Go Stormy.

Martha if you were going to call in and accuse Hillary Clinton of accepting money into her fund secretly please make sure you have the facts. If this was true the Republicans would be all over it. Even you used the words “probably deposited,” meaning you don’t know if it’s factual. Even Donald Trump never mentioned it and Donald knows all about secret funds. So this would fall into the category of fake news. Nice try.

On Monday in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 10 horses escaped from a farm and galloped down the highway having a great time. I think we should have a day with no transportation vehicles on streets or highways for a few hours on a designated day where all animals on leashes with persons can walk freely on the streets, a fun day, video surveillance of course. I’m just curious why the public director in Pottstown doesn’t pave these alleys. It’s ridiculous. My taxes pay for them. I know it’s hard enough to get the streets done but let’s put a little effort into the alleys there please.

Boy that President Putin is good. I still haven’t seen his lips move when he makes his dummy talk.

Thank you Gov. Wolf for ending the gerrymandering stuff. It should have been ended long ago. Now let’s see who takes Chester County and all the rest. Jay Miller

The irony of life is that by the time you’re old enough to know your way around you don’t feel like going anywhere. Jim Fitch
