Doris M. Christy of East Coventry

Doris M. Christy, age 93, wife of the late Charles M. Christy, of East Coventry, PA, formerly of Spring City, PA, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in the Manatawny Manor Nursing Home.

Born on November 1, 1924 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine (Desmond) Emery.

She was a 1942 graduate of Royersford High School.

Mrs. Christy worked as a cashier for Acme Supermarket in Spring City, PA.

She was a long term member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Royersford, PA. Mrs. Christy enjoyed golfing and often played at Twin Ponds Golf Club regularly.

Mrs. Christy is survived by Two Sons, Charles M., husband of Linda Christy, of Elverson, PA, John D., husband of Maureen Christy of Pembroke Pines, FL; Eight Grandchildren, Nine Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Christy was pre-deceased by Two Brothers, Clarence Emery, Ronald Emery.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main Street at Sixth Avenue, Royersford, PA on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Officiating will be Rev. Janelle L. Krais. Burial will be held privately in the Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA. Friends will be received from 11:00 am - 11:45 am Wednesday at the Church.
