Marcelene Freas-Jacob

Marcelene (nee Young) Freas-Jacob, 79, went to Heaven on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Parkhouse Providence Pointe.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on June 6, 1938, Marcelene was the daughter of the late Edward K. Young and Elisabeth (Feist) Young.

After a massive stroke on November 3, she had an arduous struggle to recover. Marcelene was a beautiful, wonderful, giving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend with a fabulous unfailing sense of humor.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Freas and her second husband Kenneth Jacob. She is survived by her son Mark (Tish), daughter Heidi, two grandchildren Christopher and Kelly, nephew Ben, and two sisters Marybeth Kensicki (Ted) and Becky O’Donnell (Patrick). She will be greatly missed by a myriad of family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkhouse for the phenomenal care.

A viewing will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464 will be handling the arrangements.
