Lower Pottsgrove wants to build a new township building. Are they trying to compete with Limerick because Limerick has a big new building and now Lower Pottsgrove has to do the same? They should live within their means and not be wasting money and buying up this property just because they want to build a new building which they shouldn’t do. The taxpayers should be the ones who vote on whether they build a new building or not, not six people on the board.
It’s sad to see what’s happening with the Y. I don’t understand the need for so many overpaid executives but then again the same goes with our school districts and government. When Philadelphia was included in with our local Ys it’s to no surprise the outcome. And who pays the ultimate price? Our kids. So sad. Clean house. Lady Di
While Philadelphia was putting its ugly foot in the door in Pottstown and surrounding area Ys, it was overheard that they thought of us as hicks. Well guess us hicks got a little smarter and are trying to undo all the problems Philadelphia has caused us. There is abundant greed and book cooking going on.
To all the restaurant complainers, give the nose blowers a break. Some people have sinus problems that cause their nose to run every time they eat. This could happen two or three times during a meal. To expect them to get up and go to the bathroom each time this happens is a bit much. If it bothers you that much don’t watch. As long as they’re not coming over to you leaning over your plate and doing it what’s the problem?

To the person wondering why the students are not protesting abortions, first it’s not their issue, while school shootings certainly is. Second, as repugnant as abortion is to many, a woman’s right to choose is the law of the land which gun violence certainly is not. A Responsible Citizen
I’d like to give a shoutout to nurses and staff at the new Pottstown Hospital/Tower Health. I was in ICU for one night and two nights in the regular room. The nurses and staff were very kind and friendly. I would recommend anyone who needs to go to the hospital to try Pottstown. I know in the past it’s always gotten a bad rap but it’s a very nice place. Happy Customer
This is to Gary who complained about kids having cell phones and that they don’t need crossing guards and that all these crossing guards do is slow him down when he is already late for work. Well guess what? You’re the reason they need crossing guards for those poor kids. If you’d leave for work at a decent time and give yourself enough time we wouldn’t have to worry about the safety of our kids.
People need to stop wanting attention. Meek Mill was arrested and then he went on probation. He broke probation. That means you automatically finish any jail time you would’ve had. So why don’t people grow up and stop trying to get him free, stop holding the silly childish little signs and your chants and rants and just use common sense? The color of the skin doesn’t matter. If you break probation you go back to jail. People need brains.
This is for the Daniel Boone School Board. I saw the article in The Mercury that they’re not happy with the cleaning company they brought in. You had long-term regular employees there for years who did an excellent job and then you brought a new man in as acting superintendent who got rid of the maintenance department, the food service department and outsourced the aides. So you brought it on yourselves. You should have left things alone; they were good for 25 years.
Sinclair Broadcasting has become one of the largest broadcasting companies in the country. Fox News is one of them under his domain. Sinclair has made the anchors of the shows recite false news scripts, word-for-word propaganda. Trump has supported this outlandish joke which he must as he takes all his ideas from Fox News. He has actually hired people from Fox News. Guess that’s why they don’t last.
This is to the person asking what Gold Star Mother’s Day is. Shame on you. Gold Star Mothers are mothers who lost a son or daughter in one of our many wars. Their son or daughter was killed during one of our many recent wars.
