G. Newton Reitnour, III age 74, husband of the late Carole A. (Hawthorne) Reitnour, of Limerick, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his home.

Born on November 17, 1943 in Pottstown, he was a son of the late G. Newton Jr. and Marian (Pennypacke­r) Reitnour. He was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School Class of 1961. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army stationed in Alaska.

Newt worked in manufactur­ing sales for Stanley G. Flagg, Superior Tube, and lastly at Judson A. Smith before retiring. He was a dedicated member of St. Matthew’s U.C.C. where he served as Treasurer, Deacon and Cemetery Administra­tor. He also enjoyed bowling in the Dairyman’s League at Limerick Bowl and was proud of bowling a 300 game.

Mr. Reitnour is survived by Sister, Diane (Gerald) Myer of Narvon, PA; Three Brothers, William (the late Donna) Reitnour of Parker Ford, PA, Barry (Lois) Reitnour of Pottstown, PA, Robert (Kathy) Reitnour of Parker Ford, PA; Goddaughte­r, Jill Irvin; and many Nieces, Nephews, GreatNiece­s and Nephews and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ, 2350 Conestoga Rd., Chester Springs, PA 19425 on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Officiatin­g will be Rev. Ronald A. Hughes. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in his memory to the church memorial fund at the above address.
