Why do teachers think they are worth so much money when a lot of mothers are home schooling their kids and they don’t even have a college education and the kids turn out to be very smart?
I want to report a warning for people that there’s a scam going on with local phone numbers now. They give a name on the caller ID. If you call back to them nobody answers. These people that are calling are foreign, Spanish or something. So I just thought I’d let everybody know there’s a scam going on in the area.
To the person calling in about the Second Amendment and flintlocks, first of all automatic weapons are not semi-automatic weapons like they’re talking about today. Secondly the Second Amendment says “bearing arms.” It doesn’t say using flintlocks for the duration of the country. If you’re going to think that way then you should have delivered your Sound Off to The Mercury on horseback written with a feathered quill pen instead of calling in with your cell phone.
Regarding the distressed eagle sitting on the wire apparently looking for his home, the people who manage the trail sprayed all the foliage along the trail destroying the nesting areas of the little birds. We had cardinals, blue jays, goldfinch, robins, wrens, orioles, hummingbirds, owls and eagles. Now we have no birds. I don’t think that was so great on their part to benefit the few people who use the trail.
Special Counsel Mueller found his first scapegoat for lying. Gave him 30 days in jail for lying. If it was a regular person lying to the FBI or law enforcement would we only get 30 days? And what about Kershner and Trump Jr.? They lied, misled, withheld information, hid information. So Mueller are you going to press charges against them or keep on looking for scapegoats?
Could someone explain to me why gas is going up 16 cents in a week’s time? I know it supposedly is going to the summer blend but I don’t think summer blend is running 16 cents higher.
I wonder how Bill Cosby’s name appears on charging documents.
The great negotiator and deal maker has proven totally inept in his efforts to get Mexico to pay for his wall. I would suggest that with his massive base of people if he merely did a gofundme account all of his loyal people will step forward especially corporate leaders who have gotten such a windfall surprise with the tax system and they can pay without any federal funds at all being involved. We can even call it the Trump wall.

Lower Pottsgrove commissioners, if you need more money in the coffers for the township to support sewer pump station and a new township building, all you have to do is fine these property owners that have unlicensed vehicles on their properties. Would you like abandoned cars on your trails? Our property values are declining. Just drive around and you’ll get plenty of money if you just enforce our property codes. Our real estate values are declining. Please help.
Gold Star Mother’s Day is for mothers who lost their children in the war. I know because I am one of those mothers. It is not easy coping day to day, you never forget it. So before you say we are ridiculous, please remember that they lost their lives for this country and you. P.S., are you a mother?

I’m calling about the speed limit on Route 100 between Upland Square Road to King Street that was changed to 45 mph a few months ago. Very few people know about it because they’re flying by at 60 or 70 mph. They don’t realize that the speed limit has changed and then if you are doing between 45 and 50 mph they’re just riding your tail blowing their horn at you. I think people that are driving do need to learn to read the signs.
The only big beautiful wall Trump is going to see anytime soon will have barbed wire, be full of guards and cells.
