Dorothy A. Hartman, 86, of Boyertown

Dorothy A. (Hess) Hartman, 86, of Boyertown, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 7th, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Englesville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Cornelius and Irene (Moyer) Hess.

Family always came first with Dorothy. She loved spending time with her family, which included 5 children, 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and really enjoyed sharing her PA Dutch recipes. Her favorite tradition was going to the beach because she was surrounded by her entire family. Her favorite past-time was reading and sharing books with her granddaughters. These traditions will continue and be cherished by generations.

Surviving are her daughters Barbara Rothenberger, wife of Eugene, Debra Ernst, wife of Edward, and Vicky Youse, wife of Rick; Sons, Jeffrey Hartman, husband of Olivia, and Mike Hartman, husband of Nicole; 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Erma Magee and Eleanor Gresh. Dorothy was preceded in death by brothers Charles Hess and Leroy Hess.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 12, 11 A.M. at Good Shepherd UCC, 35 W Philadelphia Ave, Boyertown, PA with visitation from 10 to 10:45 A.M. Burial will follow at Hill Church Cemetery in Boyertown.
