Strechay pitches Perk Valley past OJR, 7-2

Tyler Strechay pitched into the seventh inning during the Perkiomen Valley baseball team’s 7-2 win over Owen J. Roberts on Tuesday night in Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division play.

Joe Gorla went 3-for-4 and Mike Gama drove in a pair of runs to support Strechay’s 6-1/3 innings of two-hit, seven-strikeout pitching. MUHLENBERG 10, POTTSTOWN 0 » Jake Kuczawa, Dylan Sharp and Sean Guilbe threw a combined no-hitter for the Muhls in their non-league victory over the Trojans.

Kuczawa struck out four batters, Sharp and Guilbe each had three. Guilbe also went 1-for-3 with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored.

Softball

OWEN J. ROBERTS 9, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 8 » The Wildcats scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally back and claim a PAC Liberty Division win over the Vikings.

Madison Twadell finished 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored along with three RBI while Casey Walker was 3-for-4 with four runs scored and an RBI. Sam Walhs came on in relief and earned the win in the circle, spinning 4-1/3 innings where she scattered three hits. Jess Oltman took the loss for Perk Valley, letting nine runs (five earned) in six innings of work. Jordan Sell, Sela Fusco and Kara Fusco had two hits apiece.

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 13, POTTSROVE 2 » The Vikings rolled to

a victory over Pottsgrove in their PAC matchup.

The Vikings had assists on all their goals, with eight players contributi­ng. Richie Marshall led all with a two-goal, four-assist day followed by fellow captain Brian Fehr, who had two goals and three assists.

Matt Brock was 14-for-14 at face-offs along with two goals and nine ground balls on the day. Max Nice, Connor Roop and Zach Schiffman also had two-goal outings with Nick Steele completing the point production; Nick Pammer chipped in with three assists. BOYERTOWN 10, INTERBORO

4» Nick Moccia and Mason Turner each scored three times to lead the Bears to a PAC win over the Bucs.

Brady McFalls, Brewer Johnson and Skylar Wallace each chipped in with a goal and an assist while Alex Axman scored once. EXETER 11, DANIEL BOONE 3 » Matt Ward scored four goals with three assists, Jason Metz added three goals and three assists, and Connor Powell made eight saves to lead the Eagles past the Blazers in Berks Conference play.

Rylan Darrenkamp, Justin Epps, and Kyle Golden each scored goals for Boone (0-3, 1-3).

Boys track

DANIEL BOONE 76, GOV. MIFFLIN 74 » Jason Cremi’s domination of the sprint races,

and a sweep of the relays, helped the Blazers edge out the Mustangs in their Berks Conference meet.

Cremi won the 100 in 11.45 and the 200 in 23.17. Boone also took the 4x100 (46.19), the 4x400 (3:43.35) and the 4x800 with Branden Cody and Jan Vasquez each running on two relays.

Girls track

GOV. MIFFLIN 90, DANIEL BOONE 50 » Skylar Emory was the bright spot for the Blazers in their Berks Conference meet with the Mustangs, figuring in on three of their first-place finishes.

Emory dominated the sprints with her victories in the 100 (13.20)0 and 200 (27.55). She also ran a leg of Boone’s winning 4x100, teaming up with Emily Lodge, Alyssa Breidigam

and Crista James to clock a 54.11.

Boys volleyball

GOV. MIFFLIN 3, DANIEL BOONE 1 » The Mustangs took their Berks Conference match with the Blazers, posting set scores of 2516, 25-22 and 25-15 around Boone’s 25-22 victory in the third set.

Jonas Conner had 16 kills, eight digs and five aces; Kam Wolfe had nine kills and seven digs, Casey Klahr had nine kills and six digs, and Ryan Lawes had 33 assists and 10 digs for Mifflin. For Boone, Sean Zamichieli had 13 kills and four digs, Luke Degenhart had 12 digs, Colin O’Toole had 29 assists and seven digs and Scott Schilling had eight digs.
