James A. Yeager Sr., 58, of Temple, Pa.

James A. Yeager Sr., 58, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his home in Temple, PA.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on December 26, 1959, James was the son of Barbara (Woodley) Yeager and the late James L. Yeager.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He loved trapping, hunting, and fishing. He also loved riding his Harley Davidsons and was a longtime member of the Reading Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by five children, Kelly Yeager, wife of Vance Bowers, Pottstown, PA; Brittnee Yeager, Oley, PA; Jimmy Yeager, Miles City, MT; Owen Yeager, Miles City, MT; and Devin Keeley, Birdsboro, PA; two brothers, Michael Yeager, Boyertown, PA and Robert Yeager, New Holland, PA; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he is predeceased by one brother, Gregory Yeager and one sister, Beth Stoudt.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to the funeral home to help assist with funeral expenses.
