CHESCO POPS CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF HEALTH FOUNDATION
Come hear the Chesco Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Joseph Gehring, as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation. The celebration will take place on April 22 at 3 p.m. at the Phoenixville Area Middle School, 1000 Purple Pride Parkway, Phoenixville.
Sixty-five of Chester County’s finest instrumental players from all walks of life and residing in Chester County, are brought together for every concert, under the direction of Maestro Gehring. Since its founding in 2005, the orchestra has performed 60plus concerts at more than 20 venues in the county.
This concert will be filled with fan favorites and will highlight the delightfully-diverse repertoire of the orchestra. The Chesco Pops will be joined by the Phoenixville Are High School Choir, under the direction of Katharine Nice, performing Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” as well as “When You Believe” from the movie “The Prince of Egypt.”
This spring concert will be performed only once, on April 22, and admission will be free, thanks to its sponsorship by the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation. Bring your family and friends to this community-wide celebration.
