Police, FBI hunt armed robber
Suspect held up bank branch with help of getaway driver
ROYERSFORD » The Royersford Borough Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify and locate a bank robbery suspect and his getaway driver.
Police say the suspect is accused of robbing the BB&T Bank branch located at 793 Main St. in Royersford.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. Friday, the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. Displaying a gun tucked into his waistband, the man demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed
amount of cash, he exited the bank and fled the area in a white four-door sedan driven by a second person. The vehicle was missing both passenger-side hubcaps, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s to 40s, approximately 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 6-inches tall. He concealed his face with a black and white mask, and was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and shoes, and clear plastic gloves, according to authorities.
Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
