Take a look at what friends and neighbors have to say about local hot topics and join in on the conversation.

House Bill 76 has been laying dormant now for several years and property taxes just keep escalating every year. The people who have pledged to do something about it, all the state reps, Quigley, Toepel, Hennessey, even our state senators Mensch, Rafferty have done nothing. So as far as I can see they all need to be replaced in the next election.

It was no surprise to read the Pottstown School District has a shortfall of funding again this year. Our town has no business, no industry, no money coming in which eventually goes to the school district. I really believe the school district will go completely broke before it’s over with. Pottstown can’t afford to fix the streets. They have no money for anything because there are no jobs, no industry.

I don’t know why Maniac Sam can’t believe how people are talking about leaving Bill Cosby alone. I’m a woman and I mean a woman not a female. Those females were after one thing, money and attention, and they got it at the time and that’s prostitution when you get paid for having sex anyway. You need to grow up. How many years ago did all that happen? Now they’re old and wrinkled so they think he should pay them again?

James Comey said that nine days before the election he was operating in a world where Clinton was going to win and if he hid the fact that the FBI was re-investigating her emails she would be illegitimate the moment she’s elected. Now after that which sealed the election for Trump he is now claiming that he was a victim of a conspiracy that elected him president. Go figure that one. Clark S. Kent

Sorry folks, but Pottstown is beyond the point of ever being revitalized. This is because they chose to surround their main street with Section 8 housing. Look how well Phoenixville has been reinvented. The reason for their success is that they chose to surround their main street with beautiful apartments that millennials are flocking to. These people have disposable income and patronize the local shops and restaurants. Rest in peace Pottstown. Scooby

Wow, I wonder where I am going to spend my extra $10 a week that I’m getting in my paycheck. Oh I see at the gas station prices are going up and up and up almost $3 a gallon. That’s making America great again Mr. Trump. Way to go.

President Trump gives his staffers two choices — retire or be fired, and that’s the way it is.

Yes Donald don’t put a sanction on Russia. All they did was gas the people in Syria and poison people in Great Britain. You made a good decision. Putin’s got you just like Hillary said. You’re his puppet.

I don’t want to say I’m old and worn out but I just make sure I’m not near any curb on trash day. Jim Fitch

My daddy taught me a long time ago that liars can figure but figures don’t lie. Where are the taxpayer dollars that were supposed to go to the YMCA, almost $5 million? Where is it? Easy question. Where is it? Mark T. Hegedus

Maybe the Dems will take the House, maybe not. Anything is possible though the way they are setting it up, for example, the redistricting of Pennsylvania. Anything can be won by cheating and lying but I will make one thing crystal clear. You can do what you want, take the president down, whatever you decide to do, but know this... I know with great satisfaction that my vote counted to keep your deplorable, nasty, corrupt Hillary out of the White House. LOL

Oh this great creature of God, Stormy Daniels, oh my God she is just one beautiful human being, the kind you bring home to mother. She, less than quality goods, is being represented by somebody who’s even worse than she. Unbelievable what’s going on with the liberal #MeToo community.

Just what we need, higher school taxes in the borough. We’re already one of the highest in the state. The school district has to learn to tighten its belt. We as homeowners have to tighten your belt. Stop with the raises. We don’t need to pay these exorbitant salaries to the superintendents. Take a look at what we have. People are fleeing this town because of taxes, houses are becoming rental units for Section 8. Good job school board and the previous ones also. A Disgusted Homeowner

Jim Fitch the work you performed all those years was called skilled labor. I believe it’s becoming a thing of the past because there’s a belief that everyone needs to go to college.
