Maren Jane Kaniewski, 7, of Phoenixville

-

Maren Jane Kaniewski, age 7, Phoenixville, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her parents Saturday, April 21, 2018, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Born on March 1, 2011 in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was the cherished daughter of Richard and Bridget (Butler) Kaniewski and forever little sister of Ricky and Deirdre Kaniewski. She and her family are members of St. Ann’s Parish in Phoenixville.

Maren is survived by her grandmother Susan Kaniewski and grandfather John Butler. Waiting for Maren in heaven were her grandpop Richard Kaniewski and grandmom Mary E. Butler. Her memory will also be carried in the hearts of her aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, best friends and all who knew her.

Maren liked to be on the go and participated in many activities herself as well as supported her siblings. From her sports’ sideline crew to her sister’s friends who always included her, Maren always found a place for herself. She was blessed with great friends, teachers, coaches and neighbors that made her life fun and complete. Maren was a cheerleader, played soccer and softball, and completed a 5K run.

Maren loved travel and adventure. She visited the southern-most point of the US and then cruised to Alaska in the same year. She loved roller coasters, especially Everest in Disney World and El Toro in Great Adventure. Maren perfected the art of the ride photo, always knowing where to look and when to smile. She loved summer trips to Sea Isle City and made a lifetime of memories with family down the shore.

Maren’s life impacted all who knew her. She taught us what was most important in life: to take time to play and enjoy each other.
