Calvary UCC
Barto: A Flea Market, Craft Show and Bake Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, rain or shine, at Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100. Bake sale and refreshments.
First Presbyterian
Pottstown: New members will be introduced to the congregation during the 10:30 a.m. worship at First Presbyterian Church. Sr. Seekers will meet for a fun-filled adventure of “The Amazing Race” from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Christ Lutheran
Barto: The laying on of hands and special prayers for healing will take place during the 10:15 a.m. service on Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road.
St. James Lutheran
Limerick: There will be a “Confirmation Retreat” today from 1 to 7 p.m. for all 8th grade youth who will be confirmed in May. Those volunteering to help with vacation Bible School in June will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Registration for the June 18 to 21 Bible School is open on line at www.StJamesLimerick. com.
Bethany Evangelical
Oley: A Gospel Music concert will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday featuring “Redeemed” at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 38 Covered Bridge Road.
St. Luke Lutheran
Gilbertsville: All are invited to the pavilion at St. Luke Knolls for a “Spring Fling” potluck lunch following the 9:30 a.m. service today at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Ave. The Community Clothing Rack will be open for clothing drop off from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Pastor Mary Ann Siefke, Mike Ferraro, Megan Ingram, and Lorelai Ingram will represent St. Luke at the Southeastern PA Synod Assembly, at Franconia Mennonite Church on Friday and Saturday. A highlight of this year’s assembly will be the election of a new bishop, as Bishop Claire Burkat retires.
Shepherd of the Hills
Bechtelsville: The Congo Community Blood Drive will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sassamansville, on Saturday, May 5, from 7 a.m. to noon.
St. Peter’s Lutheran
Pottstown: The Lutheran Women of St. Peter’s Church, 564 Glasgow St., meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The guest speaker is Lillie Bucks. Meeting assistants will be Nancy Dunning, Devotions; Dottie Luft and Joan Daegele, hostesses. Used clothing bins have been placed in the church parking lot. Members and community residents are
encouraged to place their used clothing and shoes in the bins. All clothing collected will be sorted and shipped throughout the USA, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.
St. Paul’s UCC
Pottstown: A Spring Yard Sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 927 N. Franklin St. Lunch items and baked goods will also be sold.
Mount Carmel UMC
St. Peters: Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 2203 Harmonyville Road, will join Christians across the U.S. in celebrating the “National Day Of Prayer” on Thursday, May 3. The church will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for anyone who would like to pray for our nation, health of others, conflicts, worries, homeless, or any other concern you have.
Bethel Community
Pottstown: Today is the Annual Spring Cleaning Day at Bethel Community Church of Pottstown, 575 N. Keim St., and all members are asked to participate. Lunch will be served. It’s Outreach/Evangelism Sunday at 10:30 a.m. when all members are to “Reach One and Bring One” to church. Those in the area looking for a new church home are invited to attend and the Praise Power Choir will be singing.
Brownback’s UCC
Spring City: Barbara Wilhelmy from the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities will be the guest speaker at the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road. Come to hear how our offerings to them are making a difference for so many. Following the service, light refreshments will be served in Fellowship Hall.
Zion’s UCC
Pottstown: Rev. Austin Chinault is offering a new ministry beginning Wednesday, May 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. pizza and ping pong for all ages for fun, fellowship and exercise. All are invited. Cost is $2 to share expenses for supper. The annual Women’s Fellowship Banquet is at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. Cost is $12 and reservations should be made now.
