Take a look at what friends and neighbors have to say about local hot topics and join in on the conversation.

Pennsylvania ranks 46th nationally for funding public education. The percentage of state revenue for public schools was 35.2 percent in 2017. The national average was 45.6 percent. Local taxpayers would see over 10 percent reduced from their bill if Pennsylvania funded schools like the average state in the nation.

This is to the people complaining about the potholes in between the tracks at Industrial Highway. Norfolk Southern owns those tracks and the other set of tracks past Washington Street on Industrial Highway that also have potholes in between the tracks. I’ve called them but nothing is getting done. Their main number is 800-635-5768. Their number in Pennsylvania is 717-541-2120. Good luck.

To the caller who said it sets a dangerous precedent for Bill Cosby to be asked to pay the cost associated with his trial, the truth is all convicted defendants, whether rich or poor, whether convicted at trial or through a guilty plea, are assessed “court costs.” Mustang Jackie

Why spend all that money to prosecute Cosby when in the end he’s found guilty and not sent to jail? Once again the corruption proves that it’s still there in Montgomery County. Anybody else not so rich and powerful would have been locked up immediately. Fed Up With Corruption

Lady Di, you continue to blame everything on the Democrats but you do know that the Republicans control the House, Senate and the president and the quote is “A house divided cannot stand alone.” What are the liberals fighting for that is so anti-religious?

Listening to all the Republicans complaining about the White House correspondents dinner shows us who the real snowflakes are.

I’d like to thank the Lower Pottsgrove Township manager for taking one of my calls about people storing trash and junk as a garbage dump behind property. After only a few weeks he saw that the area was cleaned up. I encourage all residents of Lower Pottsgrove if you have any neighboring properties with any junk cars, any trash or garbage dumped on people’s properties, to call the township and they will help you in cleaning up our beautiful township.

I would like to commend the three property owners at the intersection of Brownback and Limerick Center roads in Linfield for being able to keep their properties free of debris and litter and keeping their lawns so neatly manicured all year long. It reminds me of Longwood Gardens. They are a credit to the community. Mr. Mascaro of Linfield

We do not need any more people coming in this country from foreign countries who just want to be on Welfare. That is what Donald Trump is trying to stop, people coming here just for a hand out. If they have a skill or a job that we can use and put it to use then they can come here and be an American citizen, not just to get on a food program and handouts. We have enough of that here already. Big Ed

It is wonderful that PennDOT fixed the road from the Bucktown light almost all the way to Exton. Now when are they going to fix the road from Bucktown all the way to Pottstown which is terrible? I live along Route 100 and travel it everyday and it is absolutely terrible. But they did a good job so far down that way so guys lets come up this way and do it all the way to Pottstown.

God help us senior citizens. Everything keeps going up. County taxes, township taxes, school taxes, food prices, gasoline prices, medical insurance, everything but our incomes. Somewhere, somehow, we need a break. N

I would like to speak about Clark Kent putting things in Sound Off. Every time there’s something in there he runs the president down. Why does he do that? He probably has dirt under his feet too but you don’t know that. I can’t understand why people run their president down. They’re just mad because Hillary Clinton didn’t win. Stop putting stuff in about the president. I get tired of hearing it. He’s president, so be it.

I was a supporter of Obama also. I try to support anyone who is elected to govern even when total agreement isn’t there. To see the rabid attacks on this president and staff is quite alarming. The double standards are disturbing and the actions going on in our government agencies are nothing short of deplorable. To see the manipulation of government agencies for political purposes is quite frightening. Lady Di

This is to the person who says about Melania Trump getting cheated on and where does that put Jackie Kennedy. Fifty years ago that puts her so far away you might as well be talking about Martha Washington. Give me a break.
