Hey OJR taxpayers, like what you’re reading about Boyertown’s 5.4 percent increase? Just wait, there’s a price to be paid for not paying attention.

Boyertown School Board member Jill Dennin’s “good deal,” the same good-deal people who can’t finish a school project or update their own sports stadium but just keep on spending like drunken sailors and runaway prostitutes and we the people just keep on pimping them with our taxes and re-elections. I think maybe it’s time for most if not all of them to be replaced.

To the person packing all summer to move out of Boyertown School District, do not make a mistake of coming to Owen J. Roberts School District where they turn a blind eye on the director who gets paid more than $100,000 for practical jokes than actual work.

On Friday I was at the Brookside Family Restaurant with my 3-year-old granddaughter and I just wanted to shout-out thanks to the man who worked there and also to the Upper Pottsgrove worker. Both of these nice gentlemen gave my granddaughter a stuffed animal that they got out of the claw machine. She was so happy, she squeezed it for dear life and she just couldn’t wait to go home and tell her mommy. Again I want to say thank you to these two nice gentlemen.

We know what’s in the chemtrails but what’s in the steam coming off the power plant? Hmmm.

Lady Di, you say you feel the need to call in occasionally and defend the president. How do you think Sarah Huckabee Sanders feels? She has to do it on a daily basis knowing full well she’s lying every time she does it.

This is to Billy Bob. I just want to congratulate the president for getting those three hostages released. You didn’t think I could say that. Now let’s see what Mr. Mueller says about Mr. President, what happens to him. We’ll see if you apologize maybe to all the people who have been criticizing the president. We’ll see what Mr. Mueller says about it and we’ll see who does any praising. Jay Miller

What a great day in history. Our embassy moved to Jerusalem. A privilege to see this happen, a leader that kept his word. We will be blessed by standing with Israel. God bless America. Lady Di

Thanking everybody that called in about the Boyertown tax increase. Maybe if about 2,000 other people call the Boyertown School District it would be greatly appreciated for seniors. They want to get $136 more a year and they gave us seniors a whopping $4 a month. Joanne

On Friday Rufus and I attended the handicapped fishing rodeo at Warwick Park. What a great time for the kids and the trout they caught were amazing. Hats off to the Coventryville Trout Club for sponsoring such a fantastic event. Jim Fitch

To the person questioning Jay Miller, I notice you did not list any Trump accomplishments. You just blindly state “all of the accomplishments.” I wish you would rewrite your comment and list Trump’s accomplishments. Bob Not From Mont Clare

I want to give kudos to the victim and witnesses that helped the Lower Pottsgrove police in identifying the suspect who stole the victim’s purse in Landis’ parking lot last week. Too often people won’t provide information out of fear of retaliation. We need more people like you. Great job to everyone involved in apprehending the suspect.

This is to the people that say that President Obama never accomplished anything. Sure he did, he made race relations worse, job-killing bills that he signed into regulation, dislike for the police, he made ISIS stronger and his wife made lunches mandatory in the schools for kids that wouldn’t eat it any way.

I respect John McCain for his service but I would like to know what his status was as a prisoner of war and what his accomplishments were and why he is considered such a big hero. There are a lot of people that were in the war that have no legs, no arms and we don’t hear them as being heroes.

I read last week that Dennis Arms resigned from borough council. He had some good ideas how to reduce the budget but most of council didn’t want to hear it. His ideas would have only raised taxes 8 to 10 percent instead of 12 percent that they settled on but it sure beats the 18 percent Flanders proposed.

Go to the library and get and read “Secrets of the Secret Service” by Gary Byrne. Be sure to read chapter 8. “Our political representatives should take government agencies down a peg or down entirely with the same fervor as they create and expand them. There is no truth or honesty in any part of our government.” Sound Off is a forum to spur dialogue from residents of the communities we serve on topics of interest in those communities.
