GILBERTSVILLE » New Hanover AARP meets on Monday, May 21, at the New Hanover Lutheran Church, Lutheran Road. Optional social time with a bring-your-own bag lunch (beverage and desserts provided) is at noon. Entertainment will be provided by Dave DeLuca, Legends of Country. Meeting is at 12:45 p.m. The New Hanover AARP chapter is currently sponsoring a drive in support of Boyertown Multi-Services. These products will go to assist those who are truly in need. All members are asked to bring to the meeting all kinds of condiments this month. All those age 50 and older are invited.

POTTSTOWN » The May meeting of The Pottstown Historical Society, 568 High St., will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at which time elections will be conducted.

A walking tour will be planned for June 13

at 6:30 p.m. It will consist of the south side of High Street between Penn and Charlotte streets. Learn about the buildings that stand today or stood in the past. Staging area will be behind the New York Plaza building. A special trip on the Colebrookdale Railroad is planned for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 15. Cost is $25 per person. BOYERTOWN » The Boyertown Lions Club will hold its 79th Charter Night meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Hall, South Reading Avenue and Warwick Street. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment to follow.
