We definitely need to get rid of property tax. All the schools, everything’s going up. The seniors that are 65 and up we’re dying here, we don’t have the money, and there is no money out there. The young people aren’t even working. This is totally ridiculous giving all the money to the schools and the teachers, for what? The kids are doing nothing. So let’s get rid of property tax especially for the seniors, and for the young people cut it in half. You have enough money in Harrisburg.

On House Bill 76 those politicians are career politicians like teachers. They work less than 200 days a year and are overpaid in salary and retirement benefits. Reporters, if there are any investigative ones, should open up the books to see what the teachers and their unions pay towards politicians’ re-election campaigns to fight the property tax bills. Call a politician and tell them if you can’t get it done in two or three years we’ll elect people who can.

The nation’s most troubled and dangerous cities have been run by Democrats for 15 years. This is where blacks suffer the most with high crime rates and poor schools. Democrats never want blacks to ask questions about what the party has done for them plus the president you told us to hate got us more money in our checks and has our unemployment rate at record lows. What’s going on here? Maybe we should be asking questions.

How can this person comment that John McCain and Kerry are both losers? They served our country. What did Trump do? He’s a draft dodger. McCain is a hero who fought for our country and he was a prisoner of war. Trump should be impeached. I can’t believe anybody called John McCain and Kerry losers when they fought for our country and saved lots of people’s lives.

I read in Tuesday’s Mercury about the $168,000 improvement project that is just being completed in the West Pottsgrove Murgia Park. As I read on it showed a new bridge over Goose Run at a cost of $120,000. Are you kidding me? I think a good carpenter and a stone mason could’ve done it for a lot less.

Let’s all be real here, Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency was a disaster. He was just a puppet. He received the Nobel Peace Prize after being in office for just three months for doing absolutely nothing. A total set up. Donald Trump has done more for this country in his first year than the whole failed eight years Obama embarrassed us in office.

Today the media in the U.S. are not objective seekers and disseminators of truth. In truth the media serve as the propagandists and the protector of the forces that want to change America from a constitutional republic into a socialist state.

This is in regard to the person male or female who did not sign their name regarding John McCain and John Kerry who served in Vietnam, and they’re both losers? I’d like to know if this person is a vet. My husband just died a vet. He also served in Vietnam and Korea twice. Regarding John McCain he is a true hero. John McCain served his country as did John Kerry. Did this person who called in?

I think the only thing scarier than a bunch of liberal politicians sitting around the table discussing taxes, and spending money on things we don’t need, is school boards discussing taxes on things we don’t need.

During his campaign President Trump said “I could go out on the street in New York City and shoot someone and my supporters wouldn’t abandon me.” And you know what? That sounds ridiculous but I found out he’s right. Don’t you see a problem with it being that way in the United States of America? For God’s sake he’s right no matter what he does, it’s fine. Lord help us.

To the person who felt it necessary to respond to my Sound Off about potholes on Beech Street I meant to say near Beech Street almost in front of St. Al’s on Hanover Street. I know what roads are state roads. You don’t get anywhere calling the PennDOT pothole hotline. I heard the Japanese invented a shovel that stands by itself. Hate to bust your bubble.

My father told me if you want to make a lot of money sell something people need weekly or need to have replaced often. I think I’ve come up with a great idea. It’s an inflatable dart board.
