BECHTELSVILLE, PA » With nine Saturday nights of NASCAR stock car racing scheduled at Grandview Speedway so far this season and only four being presented it is clear that, at present, Ma Nature is winning the rainout battle.

Saturday night’s tripleheader card of NASCAR stock car racing featuring the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models fell victim to Ma Nature’s weather wrath for the fifth time this season. Track management and racers made every effort to get the races run but after more than one hour in delays the events were canceled.

Grandview Speedway management will try again on Saturday, June 9th, when they present K&N Filters Night. This will be another tripleheader card of NASCAR stock car racing featuring the Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman stock cars in action with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.

Heading up the field of racers taking part in the Saturday night action will be T.P.Trailers 358 Modified point leader Brett Kressley, Late Model point leader Danny Snyder and Craig Whitmoyer who is on top in the Sportsman standings. All three drivers are in search of their first championships in those divisions.

Plans call for a full series of qualifying events to be presented topped off by a 30-lap feature race for the Modifieds that starts the 28 top performers of the night. The Sportsman and Late Model racers will each take part in 25lap feature races.

Again this Saturday the Low Down & Dirty Meet & Greet will feature two or three of the weekly performers with their race cars at the main gate area signing autographs, chatting with fans and signing autographs. The session gets underway at 5:30 p.m.

Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted free. There is free parking available on the speedway grounds. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and all seats offer a great view of the on track action.

Then on Thursday, June 14th, 7:30 p.m. the traveling United States Auto Club non-wing Sprint cars will be in action in the annual Jesse Hockett Memorial featuring several of the top name

racers from across the nation. In addition the always popular 358 Modifieds will be in action.
