Festival in the Park set for Saturday

-

WEST VINCENT » The township will host a Festival in the Park on Saturday — an event for all ages to celebrate the community.

The free festival will feature cow-pie bingo, goat races, hounds, hunts, classic cars, hot air balloons, 4-H clubs, robots; live bands, artists, demonstrations and food trucks offering locally sourced ingredients. The festival will be held in Evans Park at the corner of Conestoga Road (Route 401) and St. Matthews Road from 3-7 p.m., June 9.

Families can have fun watching a goat race or maybe enter your goat, take a chance on cow-pie bingo, have children’s faces painted or have family interaction with a robot. Don’t forget to bring pets for the Pet Parade complete with prizes. There will even be pets available for adoption or just to cuddle. Attendees will be able to cast a vote for their favorite antique car or tractor and take a stroll down our Artist’s Alley. The Bucktown Grille will be on site serving food.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and stake out the best place to listen to music provided by two live bands.

The festival is also the kick-off of the West Vincent Community Series beginning with monthly Picnic in the Park events held at Evans Park in the summer. The Festival in the Park and West Vincent Township Community Series is hosted by the Parks & Recreation Commission.
