Checking to see if anyone can help. I noticed on Jackson Street there are a lot of white lines painted. I’m curious to know what’s going on. There again in our borough I pay my taxes and I’m very concerned about what they’re doing with them. I thank you and I appreciate any help.

I’m glad to see President Trump cancelled the trip to the White House for the Eagles. I just feel bad for the 10 people who wanted to go and I guess the social justice warriors on the Eagles are all happy now. Also I guess they’re happy that the NFL is contributing $90 million toward criminal reform but I didn’t see where the NFL is going to give any money toward the victims of those so-called criminals that were treated so badly.

Well I heard on KYW the very badly worded headline that the Supreme Court decided against a couple getting a wedding cake. Well how about saying that the Supreme Court decided in favor of the Christian baker? The gay couple can go anywhere else they want to get their wedding cake.

Fly Eagles fly. Too bad Trump doesn’t know how to lose. We sure know how to win. Congratulations Eagles.

For Logical Bob, I see you agree with me watching those tapes by Pence and Trump would drive some of these people crazy, they would fold up and they would lose their minds, they would go crazy. The only difference is I was kind and said some people would lose their minds, you called them Republicans. Bob from Phoenixville

What a coward, can’t even see the Eagles. Shame on you Trump.

Donald Trump said “I can absolutely pardon myself.” Now that’s scary.

President Trump uninviting the Eagles from the White House at the last moment shows the instability of his leadership. None of the Eagles took a kneel during the championship season.

I was deeply pained when I visited my husband and brother’s grave at Providence Mennonite Church, Route 29, Collegeville, to find they had been forgotten on Memorial Day. There were no new flags on any of the graves. Both my husband and brother are World War II veterans. I would hope that all these veterans will always be remembered for the sacrifices they made for us.

About the bread around the trees, I found out handing out bread causes more rats to come and bug me. Can You Dig It?

I read the article in The Mercury about this new invention for the police cars to keep them from idling all the time. That’s a good idea except they failed to say how much the system costs, how much it costs to install, how long is it reliable for and is it easily transferred from one car to another since the police feel they need a new car every three or four years. Can it be transferred to the new car or would they have to buy a new unit? All that should be considered first.

Remember when Trump made a comment about the NFL players kneeling during the national anthem that the so and so’s should be fired for being unpatriotic? I wonder how Trump would’ve felt if during the Vietnam era when he was hiding behind his five deferments if the president would’ve said to put that spoiled unpatriotic so and so in the military where he belongs.

The lady waving to the viewers of the Pottstown Memorial Day parade was identified by a sign on a blue convertible as the veteran of the year. We at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City know her as a former Marine and a wonderful volunteer for many years, Mary Archie.

To all you veterans out there, I’m surprised at you. You holler like the devil when somebody burns the flag but when they won’t salute your flag you won’t say a word. I’m ashamed of all of you. JB, Gilbertsville

Although I don’t believe that people should be kneeling during the national anthem I also find it ridiculous that Trump is calling people disrespectful for doing so or whatever. You can’t be any more disrespectful to this country than to evade the draft and for him to call others disrespectful is truly insane. Fact

By taking a knee, athletes are not dishonoring our flag but disrespecting the administration which so truly dishonors it by constantly berating our institutions of democracy and cozying up to the brutal dictators of the world. Go Eagles. Frattbak

The problem I have with the people who accept me for who I am is that I now question their judgment. Jim Fitch
