Daniel Boone rallies back to drop Boyertown

Daniel Boone used some late-inning run production Tuesday to overtake Boyertown’s American Legion baseball team and come away with a 6-3 victory in Berks County League play.

John Dinnocenti threw a complete game for Boone, scattering six hits and striking out three. The Mavriks, who trailed the Bears by a 3-1 count through four innings, pulled even with a pair in the fifth and three in the seventh, getting two RBI from Josh Piccarreta. SPRING CITY 12, WEST CHESTER 0 » Brad Clemens threw a five-hit, six-strikeout shutout, and the Red Sox rode two-RBI outings by J.C. Reed, Coy Walters and Gavin Boychuck to a five-inning romp over West Chester in Chester County League action.

NORCHESTER 9, SPRING CITY 7» Shay Geib pitched a solid 3-2/3 innings of relief for the Big Dawgz as they topped Spring City in Twin County League play.

Julian Funaro and Ewen Donald each went 3-for-3 for Norchester, which benefited from Jadan Smith’s go-ahead RBI double in the sixth inning.

DANIEL BOONE 13, BEAR CUBS 1 » Tre Yesavage had the only RBI for the Boyertown Bear-Cubs, plating Jonathon Myers (double) in the first while Boone rolled up a five-inning victory in a Berks County League game resumed following a weather-forced suspension earlier this season.
