Heinrich Hofmanner of Douglassville

Heinrich “Henry” Hofmanner, 87, of Douglassville, PA, husband of the late Frida (Komnik) Hofmanner, died Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Buchs, Switzerland, he was a son of the late George and Elise (Haab) Hofmanner. Mr. Hofmanner was a self employed Plumbing & Heating contractor, starting his business in the early 1970’s and working well into his 1980s.

He enjoyed league bowling and watching tennis and soccer.

Henry was a long standing member of the Reading Liederkrantz where he enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Surviving are two sons, John Hofmanner, West Chester; Ronald Hofmanner and his wife Diana, Birdsboro; one daughter, Barbara wife of Michael Brozene, Nottingham, MD; one brother, Alfred Hofmanner and his wife Margaret, South Africa; One sister, Margrith Meyer, Switzerland; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother Hans Hofmanner and one sister, Liesel Meyer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Robert Machamer Jr. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday at the church.
