Mary E. Lightcap of Limerick

Mary E. (MacIntire) Lightcap, 85, wife of the late Robert W. Lightcap, of Limerick, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Seasons Hospice.

Born on April 9, 1933 in Limerick, she was a daughter of the late Cora (Major) and James MacIntire.

A Class of 1951 graduate of Royersford High School, Mrs. Lightcap had been employed as a floral designer for over 50 years, first at the former Haines Florist and then at Colonial Gardens. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, gardening, was a member of a home economics club and was a lifelong member of St. James U.C.C., Limerick. A people person who cared more about others than herself, she had formerly volunteered for Project Outreach.

Mrs. Lightcap is survived by her sons: Robert M., husband of Carol Lightcap, of Royersford and Stephen K., husband of Bridgette Lightcap, of Linfield; grandchildren: Matthew Lightcap, of Royersford, Katharine Lightcap, of Boyertown, Suzanne Moyer, wife of Weston, of Spring City and Stephen R. Lightcap, of Lin field; and great grand daughters, Hayley Light cap and Pepper Peterson, of Boy er town. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Marion Swartley and Ethel Yeager.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at St. James United Church of Christ, 321 S. Limerick Road, Limerick, PA 19468 on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Anne M. Cormier. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to St. James U.C.C. at the address above.
