I’m a lifelong Democrat although I consider myself an Independent these days. I am by no means on the same page as Donald Trump with many issues but with this issue with the children it’s hard to see but I have to agree with him that if these people cross the border illegally there are going to be consequences that they pay. Again it’s not a nice thing to see but the people need to realize that if they cross the border illegally there are consequences.

Why doesn’t the UN help these Third World countries become more established? Help strengthen their government and police force and get some industry there. Maybe then these immigrants will stay in their own country instead of flocking to the U.S.
I’m tired of people talking out of both sides of their mouth. First you say that Obama did nothing about illegal immigration and now you say he did the exact things that Trump is doing. The truth is that Obama deported more illegals than any other president which he received a lot of criticism for. Our government has admitted that they are using immigrant children as leverage to get their way with Congress. I have followed politics for over 50 years and have never seen an administration Republican or Democrat with such poor judgment and actually tells outright lies. Fifty-thousand illegal immigrants have been coming to the U.S. border every month since April with no signs of stopping. If we keep granting them asylum who is going to pay for them? U.S. taxpayers. They don’t speak English but they will get free housing, education and food stamps. Enough is enough. I’m tired of working for the benefit of those who don’t.

I was just wondering what streets Boyertown is going to close next to inconvenience residents. First they closed Third Street because of the train, you can’t even walk to the post office anymore because of the trains across the streets and now Second Street Bridge is closed. Just another inconvenience Boyertown.

I’ve been watching the mainstream media showing these kids in what they call cages, but it looks like they’re just chain link fencing around what would be like a school yard in the U.S. And it looks like the food they are feeding them is a lot better than what the kids in schools have to eat because of Michelle Obama’s lunch lady food that everybody has to have in school.
