Responding to the callers about these poor children being ripped from their mother’s arms, who cares? Do you know what the word illegal means? Their parents or so-called parents should have never brought them here. They are here illegally. It’s time for them all to go back and follow the laws. Immigrants welcome. Illegal aliens in my opinion are not. There is a big difference and when are people going to start being honest and call things for what they are.

I’m sure the teachers union is giving Gov. Wolf a lot of money for re-election because all he ever talks about is giving more and more money to the school systems.

What has happened to the Democratic Party? They seem to be mean-spirited, yell threats, want to kill people and they want more for immigrants than they do for U.S. citizens. It’s hard to understand what motivates them. I’m so sorry for what’s going on with the Democrats. Fed Up To Mom’s Mobley and others who question why we do not have a law that eliminates school real estate taxes, last year the House passed the law, it went to the Senate and it was a 25-25 vote there. The Democratic lieutenant governor, I imagine under the auspices of the governor, voted it down so you can blame Wolf and our lieutenant governor for still having the real estate taxes.

It’s a shame that people act the way they do. They want to get their family and live in a safe quiet neighborhood, no problems and this is fine. But what happens, you get the Section 8. There’s trash the entire block and it would be worse yet if it wasn’t for the guys coming around picking up tin cans. It doesn’t make sense. I’m sick and tired of reading calls about children being put in cages especially that editorial cartoon in Thursday’s Mercury. Those kids are sleeping on cots in summer camp conditions. Those pictures of children in cages were taken during the Obama administration. Get with the game people.

I read the article in the June 21 Mercury about China will not accept any more plastic from anybody else for recycling. I think we should use that plastic to build the wall across the border.
