Mary V. Manley, formerly of New Berlinville

Mary V. (Reil) Manley, widow of William F. Manley Jr., formerly of New Berlinville, PA., passed away on Saturday, June 23rd at Abington Hospital.

Mary is survived by her children, Mary Brumbach, Pottstown, Elizabeth DeStefano (James), Flourtown, William III (Beth), Kingston, John (Rosemarie), Emmaus, Gerard (Elaine), Addison, TX., Joseph (Jana) Burlington, VT, fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Mark Brumbach and Patrick Manley.

Mary is a proud 1948 graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School, Philadelphia, and a 1974 graduate of Kutztown University.

She was a 4th grade Teacher in the Boyertown Area School District, retiring in 1994.

Mary was a voracious mystery reader, an avid Philadelphia sports fan and delighted in crocheting and knitting for her family. She also spent time at the Jersey shore every summer with her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Rd., Boyertown, PA. 19512 on Thursday June 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends may call Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary’s name to St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church.
