My friend and I went to Memorial Park over the weekend to see the volleyball tournament and the park looked pretty good but has anyone actually looked at the river that goes under the bridge? What a mess. The dam was taken out several years ago to prevent flooding but look what it has caused the river at the bridge to look like. The vegetation is at least 100 feet out from the river banks. Who decided to do something like that and what was the plan?

Can someone own up and say who authorized the bike lanes in Pottstown? They are ridiculous. Those poles in the street on Beech Street, etc. are awful and also that mess on Industrial Highway should be run down. It’s stupid. If people want to bike they can go to a park.

We should be thankful to have a president willing to tackle problems that have been ignored for years. Unfair trade practices and ridiculous immigration policies will drain our nation. These processes, while a better pill, are necessary for the long term health of our great land.

I see that Boyertown and Phoenixville won awards for revitalization. What would Pottstown win? Oh how about the most depressed looking Main Street and the most unused bike lanes. How proud we should be.

I believe the immigration problem should be nipped at the root, the root being the Mexican president and administration if you call it that. They should make their country a better place to live and get rid of the cartel and bad people. It is the tail wagging the dog down there. Marie L.

I agree wholeheartedly with BRRN saying about the reporters and the anchors on networks such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC and CBS and the way they talk about President Trump seems like all their talking points are scripted. It’s like somebody writes it for them because you can go from network to network and they’re always saying the same thing. So yes I couldn’t agree more that’s the way they operate in the Democratic Party. JT

Well Sixers, after you messed up the draft and let Mikal Bridges go I think it’s time to get a good free agent and that would be Kawhi Leonard. He’s not a drama queen, he plays defense, he’s a slasher, he can shoot from outside, handle the ball, a team player. You need some defense, that’s the man to do it. Get him. Don’t, don’t, don’t get the guy from Cleveland please.

Looks like the Upper Providence Township administrative reconstructive building is continuing to move forward on completion. Let’s hope in all the planning that they put in place new photo IDs of all employees entering work location and end-of-day sign out, that includes date and time, no exceptions. Honor system is not for everyone.

I see where our glorious president now wants to send immigrants back to where they came from without due process, which is both illegal and unconstitutional. Maybe that’s what should happen to Trump.

Pennsylvanians this is your last year before the scalping. Gov. Wolf had to be a good boy this year to get re-elected so that he’d have four more years to beat you down. His clever scheme will work because people never learn that electing Democrats always means more taxes and regulations. Also having the most liberal governor of the U.S. will probably bring on sanctuary-state status in a second term. Truth Be Told

I read where the federal government spends over $200 billon a year because of the illegal immigrants. If they could take that money and each state gets $4 billion a year maybe we can eliminate school taxes and seniors would be able to live in their homes without having to put them up for sale.

Coming from the west heading onto Beech Street you come to Jackson Street. At Jackson Street the bicycle path is given too much room and the road for car travel is not given enough room. Also vehicles making a left turn off Jackson Street don’t see that concrete barrier there. So that’s going to cause a problem. Too many collisions will be caused by this bicycle path. What will it take, a lawsuit to get it removed?

Hey Jay, if you want to let all these illegal immigrants into the country why don’t you take a couple of them to your house, maybe a dozen of them? If you don’t want to do that, why don’t you just let it go? A Taxpayer

Aren’t we supposed to have equal pay for equal work? Just wondering why the men who win the volleyball rumble get $7,000 and the women only get $3,000?
