GoFourth! clothes, merchandise available for July 4
GoFourth! committee needs $2,000 more to reach its goal
POTTSTOWN » July 4 is near, and the GoFourth! committee is helping you wear your American pride with its line of new merchandise.
The committee is now selling Tshirts, tank tops, and hats for $15 each. Blankets are being sold for $20.
Merchandise can be found at https://www.pottstowngofourth.com/gofourthgear. They will be sold during the parade and at the festival as well.
The GoFourth! parade will start at 10:15 a.m. with a parade that begins at High and Adams streets. Festivities continue in Manatawny Park, with games and music throughout the day. Fireworks are to go off after dark around 9 p.m.
Volunteers are still needed throughout the day. Sign-ups can take place https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090c45adaf28a6f49-2018.
The GoFourth! committee has raised $58,000 out of its $60,000 goal.
“We just want people to understand why we need such a large amount of money to put on the event,” GoFourth! Co-Chairperson Amy Francis wrote in an email. “For instance, because of the return of fireworks this year, the insurance is over $5000 and security (fire police, police, independent security firm, ambulance) is $8500.”
Tax-deductible donations can be made by donating online at PottstownGoFourth.org or by sending a check made payable to the TriCounty Community Network (TCN), with “Attention: GoFourth” as the memo. Checks should be sent to Pottstown GoFourth! Festival, PO Box 1362, Pottstown PA 19464.
